Magnolia Down Under Halloween

Good Morning Everyone,

This is my first week as the lucky Guest DT for November/December with Magnolia Down Under. The DT have come up with some amazing creations to inspire you this week so I hope you'll pop over the the Challenge, take a peek and be inspired to play along.

I've made two Halloween inspired creations this week; the first is actually a Tea Light Holder Card that I adapted to hold two spooky pez-type candy holders. The original card and instructions can be found here at StampARTic.

CANDY HOLDER CARD

I've used Witch Tilda holding a broom for this card, the border is punched with a MS Border Star Punch and all pattern papers are from Magnolia.

This is what the inside looks like, with a box (with acetate front panel) included for the candy on one side and a pocket for a tag on the other.

The back is cover with more Magnolia paper and I've used the clear spica pen to make the spiderweb shimmer but it's little hard to see. The same pattern paper covers the spine of the card.

CANDY GIFT CARTON

My second creation used the Little Devil Tilda and was inspired by the carton pattern that you can find here at Create4Fun. This box also has an acetate panel and I've filled the box with Jaffas - I just had to keep my husband and the boys away long enough to get the photo!!

Here's a look at the little tags on the top and the Spider Charm.

I'm entering my Halloween inspired creatations in the following challenges:-

Cute Card Thursday - So Transparent!
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Purple and Black
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Sweet Treats with a Twist
The Daring Cardmakers - Trick or Treating

Thanks for hanging in there for this extra long post!

Masculine Card

This card was made with a Wild Rose Studio Stamp called "Time for a Pint". The papers I've used are from The Paper Loft "Grandma's House" collection. My image is coloured with copics and added some flocking to the beer froth. The image panel is sewn with brown cotton as is the top and bottom of the stripe pattern paper. I've used circle punches for the button backing and the green layer has been crumpled before inking.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:-
Cards for Men - Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge - Spots and Stripes
CES Challenge - Buttons and Bows

Colour Create Christmas Card

Hi Eveyone and welcome to the next Colour Create Challenge!

This week our colours have been chosen by the lovely Sharon and they are just gorgeous to work with :) Our colours are Aqua, Purple and White with the optional extra being Swirls. Here is the pretty picture Sharon chose to inspire us with :-

Our sponsor this week is Instyle Stamps - and if you chose to play along with us you have the opportunity to win four lovely images from them.

This pretty little Tilda Angel is from the new Magnolia Christmas 2010 release and was my favourite from the set I received. She has been coloured with copics and I've added a little stickles to her wings.

The papers I chose for the card came from the Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck "Mitten Weather" and worked well for non traditional Christmas Card. The pearls and chipboard swirls were from my stash. I spent last weekend looking at the Creations in Paper Store in Montville, so as I was creating my card there I just "needed" to use the pretty purple and aqua flowers, lace and ribbon from the store. My chipboard swirls are coloured white chalk ink. I've aslo sprayed the aqua flowers with some Sand Glimmermist. The sentiment stamp is from Stamp It Australia and is called "Christmas Corner"

I've used the Magnolia Down Under Sketch to create my card - designed by the talented Debbie so will enter my card there also!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the Colour Create Challenge to see what the wonderfully talented DT have created this week!

Happy Halloween

Good Morning Everyone!

I ordered this cute little Tilda last year but didn't have her in time for Halloween so this is the first opportunity I've had to stamp with her and I've added the Background Stamp from the Jungle series. I think it's really meant to be a sunset but it works wonderfully well as an eerie Halloween background.  I've used the sketch from Just Magnolia Challenge this week for my layout. The papers I've used are also from Magnolia combined with some black and white cardstock.

Tilda is coloured with copics and I've added some stickles to the cobwebs printed on my background paper.  I've used buttons instead of flowers for a change and topped the orange button with a plastic spider!

This week at Our Creative Corner Challenge the more embellishments the better! So I've added button, lace ribbon, spider charm and black and purple gem brads. I've also managed to complete a bingo line over at the Allsorts Challenge ~ Brads, Buttons and Punch (Tag).

I received this spider charm from my2angels.com.au as a freebie for ordering this month and it was just perfect for this card. Stampin for the Weekend and Stamp Something both have Halloween themed challenges this week YAY!! Totally Tilda Challlenge has a special Halloween Challenge too. Over at Cupcake Craft Challenge the theme is Scary Creatures so I qualify for their challenge too and finally Cute Card Thursday has a What's Buggin You Challenge!

Following True's advice I'm entering this card over at Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings Challenge too! They have a Halloween theme this challenge as well!

Thanks for stopping by ~ Hope you're having a great weekend!

Friday Sketchers Magnolia Birthday Card

Hi Everyone,

This card was made using the Friday Sketchers Challenge Layout for this week for a online friends Birthday. The paper I've used are from the Basic Grey "Cappella" paper pad and I've combined them with some Cream Cardstock. All the panels are stitched with brown cotton and sponged with SU Sahara Sand Ink. 've used a combination of Pink Lace and Green and Cream Braid.

The Magnolia Stamp I've used is Tilda Unwrapped and I've coloured her with copics with a touch of clear spica on the top of her dress and hair ribbon for a touch of sparkle. (in this pic it's really caught the light - not as bright IRL).

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Fancy Floral
